The first tier of experiences features the Forbidden City’s central-axis imperial ritual system and Badaling’s majestic frontier pass. The second tier offers niche local scenes: the lively everyday bustle of hutong morning markets, and authentic Beijing flair at local teahouses. The third tier focuses on intangible cultural heritage hands-on experiences at a cloisonné enamel filigree workshop. Layered together, the itinerary delivers both iconic must-have travel photo opportunities, and authentic snapshots of how Beijing locals actually live.
For transportation, we use business vehicles for all same-city transfers. The longest drive is just 1.5 hours, with no need for intercity high-speed train transfers, and your luggage will accompany you throughout the trip. We intentionally keep the pace relaxed: we set aside 4 hours for the Forbidden City instead of rushing through it in 2 hours, schedule Great Wall visits in the afternoon off-peak to avoid crowds from morning tour groups, and arrange a leisurely stroll along the West Causeway of Kunming Lake in the Summer Palace instead of rushing to cover three major attractions. For meals: only dinner is included on your arrival day (we serve warming traditional Beijing copper hotpot after airport pickup to settle your stomach), only breakfast is included on your departure day, and all breakfast, lunch and dinner are covered for the full day in between, so you will never go hungry or feel rushed.

【Visa-Free Notice】This tour is eligible for the 240-hour transit visa-free policy. Travelers must hold a valid international travel document, a third-country visa, and a connecting flight ticket. The visa-free stay is valid for up to 10 days, and entry and exit are only permitted via Beijing ports. 【Transportation Notes】The entire tour uses 5-7 seat business vehicles, with the same vehicle accompanying you for 3 days. Luggage stays with the vehicle throughout the trip with no need for transfer. As traffic congestion is common in downtown Beijing, the scheduled duration for each attraction visit includes buffer time for transit between sites. 【Climate & Packing Tips】Beijing has four distinct seasons. In spring, sand and dust are frequent, so bring a face mask; in summer, pack a sun hat and sunglasses for sun protection; in autumn, there is a large temperature difference between mornings/evenings and midday, so bring a light jacket; in winter, temperatures drop below freezing, so you will need a down jacket, warm shoes and a hat. The Great Wall is very windy, so it is recommended to bring an extra windproof layer. 【Cultural Etiquette】The Forbidden City requires advance real-name reservation. Do not touch cultural relics when entering palace halls. Some sections of the Great Wall have steep steps; when climbing, please keep to the right and walk slowly. In hutong residential areas, do not enter private courtyards without permission to take photos. 【Itinerary Adjustments】The Forbidden City is closed on Mondays (except for statutory public holidays). If Day 2 falls on a Monday, the Forbidden City visit will be rescheduled to Day 3, or swapped with the Summer Palace itinerary. If the Great Wall is closed due to extreme weather, the visit will be replaced with a tour of the Ming Tombs or the Temple of Heaven.
