Guangxi

Guangxi is one of China's autonomous regions with the largest number of ethnic minority groups, and the Zhuang people make up one-third of its total population. Guilin is a place renowned for the saying "its landscapes are the finest under heaven". The Li River winds through the karst peak forests like a strip of dark green silk ribbon, echoing the classic poetic line: "The river flows like a green silk ribbon, while the peaks stand as jade hairpins".

The West Street of Yangshuo and its idyllic rural scenery attract countless travelers, and cycling along the banks of the Yulong River feels like riding through a living painting; the Longji Rice Terraces stack up layer upon layer like a ladder to the sky, and the area is steeped in rich cultural traditions of the Zhuang and Yao ethnic groups; Beihai's Silver Beach has sand as white as snow; the Detian Waterfall spans the China-Vietnam border, boasting a majestic and awe-inspiring presence. The folk songs of Liu Sanjie have made Guangxi's folk music famous across the globe.
